The Bible is full of stories with life applications.  You probably can recall one or two from Sunday school.  Jesus taught many lessons to His followers by telling them a story and He often left them to ponder the spiritual implications.  After His death and resurrection, Jesus walked the road to Emmaus with two of His followers and explained to them what the Scriptures said concerning Himself.

Unlike mythical characters, history records the life and death of Jesus.  Historical documents confirm that he was not a myth but a real person and eye witness accounts are recorded in the gospels.  Being a Christian, a follower of Christ, answers the searching questions:

Who am I?
What is my purpose?
What lies beyond this material world?

Jesus Christ was not a mythical being created by man or God. Jesus is God, and he has always existed. In the last chapter of the last book of the Bible, Jesus makes this declaration about Himself, "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." (Revelation 22:13)
