Moving Beyond Matter with Christopher Shennan

Winston Churchill is purported to have given a talk to the students of his old school.  They were expecting to hear an example of his matchless oratory, and had their pencils out prepared to take copious notes.  Apparently, all he said was:

Never give up!
Never give up!
Never give up!
Never! Never! Never!

Of course, he said it with matchless intensity and power.  Nevertheless, in spite of its brevity, that speech pretty well sums up Winston Churchill's attitude to life.  He had what we call stick-ability - the ability to stick to a task until it is done.  Another term we commonly use is "stick-to-it-ive-ness."

In spite of the amazing ability many of nature's creatures have of being able to stick or cling to impossible surfaces, their feats are not nearly as impressive as some humans to stick to difficult tasks - and see them through.

How much does success in life depend upon stick-ability, and how much of it do you and I possess?
