We, as humans, may find difficulty in relating to one another on many levels, but we all have first-hand knowledge of tension and stress in our lives. Anxiety seems to be part and parcel of modern life and has been for a long time. In 1963, Howard H. Kendler, wrote, "Anxiety is practically a household word today. Our age has been described as 'The Age of Anxiety.'"* Since tension is such a integral part of our lives, it becomes vital to find an efficient means of stress management. One highly effective means of stress management is found in reading the Bible with an open mind. In spite of the present climate of unbelief, many have found simple trust in the statements of Scripture more effective than costly counselling sessions. Perhaps you would like to give it a try.
