Perhaps you know someone who can rattle off any number of useless facts that are no doubt entertaining, but good for little else. If you forget those, you will suffer no great loss. But if you forget to close the gate to the swimming pool when a toddler is nearby, the consequences could be tragic. Consequences and rewards in varying degrees follow everything remembered or forgotten. Consider: Forgetting your spouse's birthday or your wedding anniversary. Remembering to be kind and considerate to all around you.
