There are many things not worth remembering.

Perhaps you know someone who can rattle off any number of useless facts that are no doubt entertaining, but good for little else.  If you forget those, you will suffer no great loss.  But if you forget to close the gate to the swimming pool when a toddler is nearby, the consequences could be tragic.

Consequences and rewards in varying degrees follow everything remembered or forgotten.

Consider:

Forgetting your spouse's birthday or your wedding anniversary.
Forgetting to set the alarm to rise in time for work.
Forgetting to switch off the electric kettle when leaving the house.

Remembering to be kind and considerate to all around you.
Remembering to stand by a friend in need.
Remembering to give attention to your spiritual needs, as well as to the physical ones.
Remembering this life will not last forever.
